One important note about the Discussion Questions: I expect everyone to provide at least a one paragraph thoughtful, well-articulated responses to each of the questions. Do not post an answer to something simply by reading someone’s post and saying “Yes, I agree". Your responses must be original and at least one paragraph in length. • Describe the negative consequences with alcohol and drug abuse with a person you may know whom has experienced them personally and what were the outcomes?

Alcohol and drug abuse are termed so when an individual involves in overwhelming use of these substances with a strong tendency to “resume use of it after stopping for a period (Maisto et al., 2014).” There are many negative consequences of drug and alcohol abuse, the most important of them include psychological dependence. Though I have never been closely associated with any individual who has been abusing drugs or alcohol, I have had a few acquaintances many times. In this discussion, I would write about one such acquaintance. The individual was my friend’s uncle, he is an alcoholic. As I had heard an account, during the initial days he went for alcohol only on off days, however, around his 40s he got laid off and started drinking. Gradually he started abusing his wife when he was drunk.
